The rules and regulations for the use of the Sentinel Kids LLC Website and Applications.
By accessing this website and using our services, we assume you accept these terms and conditions in full. Please stop using Sentinel Kids LLC if you do not agree to take all of the terms.
1. License
Unless otherwise stated, Sentinel Kids LLC and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights for all material on Sentinel Kids LLC. All intellectual property rights are reserved.
You must not:
Republish material from Sentinel Kids LLC
Sell, rent or sub-license material from Sentinel Kids LLC
Reproduce, duplicate or copy material from Sentinel Kids LLC
Redistribute content from Sentinel Kids LLC
2. User Accounts
When you create an account with us, you must provide us information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account.
Unauthorized Use: You are strictly prohibited from using the Service to monitor devices for which you do not have legal authorization. Illegal use will be reported to authorities.
Who May Use the Service
You must be at least 18 and the parent or legal guardian of the child whose device you link. You may install the child app only on a device used by your own minor child. You may not use the Service to monitor a spouse, partner, employee or any other adult, or to monitor anyone secretly. We may terminate accounts that do so.
Transparency
The child app is always visible on the device and has no hidden mode. You are responsible for telling your child that the device is supervised.
What the Child App Does
When linked to your account, the child app enforces the rules you set. Depending on the platform, it can block or close apps you have blocked, lock the device when screen time runs out or during a routine you schedule, filter websites (through a DNS profile on iPhone, iPad and Mac, and through a local on-device VPN on Android), share the device's location with you, and send you an SOS alert. In the desktop apps for macOS and Windows, the child can also send an SOS alert by voice. On macOS and Windows, while the device is linked, the app keeps running, cannot be quit by the child and restarts automatically.
Unlinking and Removal
You can unlink a child device at any time from the parent app. After unlinking, the child app stops enforcing rules, deletes its data from the device and can be removed like any other app.
3. Subscription & Billing
Some parts of the Service are billed on a subscription basis. You will be billed in advance on a recurring and periodic basis. Subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play are billed and refunded by Apple or Google under their policies. If your subscription ends, child apps stop enforcing rules until you renew.
Free Trial: We may offer a Subscription with a free trial for a limited period of time.
Cancellation: You may cancel your Subscription renewal through your online account management page.
Safety Features
SOS alerts are sent to the parent account only. Sentinel Kids does not contact emergency services and is not a substitute for calling them. Alerts depend on the device's internet connection, permissions and battery, and delivery is not guaranteed. Web and content filtering reduce exposure to harmful material but cannot block everything.
4. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Sentinel Kids LLC be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages resulting from your access to or use of the Service.
5. Disclaimer
Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an 'AS IS' and 'AS AVAILABLE' basis without warranties of any kind.
6. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of California, United States without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
